Important Information About Using The Design Studio

Standard Print Sizes & Logo Positioning

  • Don't worry if your design is placed slightly off-center or lower than expected. We'll ensure proper alignment during production.
  • Please note that the mock-ups in our design studio may not be perfectly to scale. Your artwork might appear smaller or larger than it does on the mock-up.
  • For precise measurements, refer to our Standard Print Size Guidelines. If you need exact measurements, include them in the notes section of your order or email us with your order number and instructions.

Artwork File Type Requirements

  • We recommend uploading files that meet specific requirements to ensure optimal print quality on your apparel.
  • For the best results, upload vector files (PDF, EPS, AI, or SVG) or high-resolution 300 DPI files (JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF).
  • At a minimum, upload the highest resolution files available. Our design team will try to enhance any pixelated or low-resolution artwork, but we cannot guarantee a perfect fix depending on the complexity.

Item Substitutions

  • Due to the just-in-time nature of our production, if items are out of stock, T-Shirt Elephant reserves the right to substitute them with items of equal or greater value that closely match the original. We will notify you by email if significant changes are necessary.

Color Matching (Product Mock-Ups & Prints)

  • Please be aware that colors may appear differently on your screen compared to the actual printed product. This also applies to apparel mock-ups displayed on screen. While we strive for accuracy, variations in color are inevitable.

Design Studio Do's and Don'ts

  • Avoid printing black on black or dark colours on dark fabrics, same goes for white on white or light colors on light fabrics. We highly recommend against Dark on Dark or Light on Light as they may appear to contrast well on your screen, but can result in poor visibility in real life. Examples includes: printing black ink on black shirts, printing black or dark colours on dark heather, charcoal, forest green or navy. Examples of light ink colours would be: white on white, white on ash grey, grey on sport grey or ash grey, and white on yellow.
  • Ensure your design is not too large or too small for the shirt. Refer to our Standard Print Size Guidelines for appropriate sizing. If you need a specific print measurement, please include that in the notes section of your order or email us to confirm.

Add Names & Numbers

  • Place your order online and then email orders@tshirtelephant.com with your order number and a list or spreadsheet containing names, numbers, sizes, and any font preferences or placement instructions.
  • We charge $8.00 per name and $8.00 per set of numbers per shirt. Once you've placed your order and sent the email, we'll send an online invoice for payment.

Embroidery

  • Our minimum order for embroidery is 12 items with the same design.
  • Embroidery is available only on certain items and designs. Typically, most hats and toques can be embroidered unless the design or quantity is not suitable.
  • Designs for embroidery should avoid fine details, gradients, or full-color images, and the print size must be under 5" wide.
  • For embroidery orders, please email our customer service team to discuss the best options for your request.
